MEET OUR ATTORNEYS

Matt McKenzie

Matt joined the team in 2025 as a member and his practice focuses primarily on real estate matters and loan closings, as well as estate planning.

Over the course of his career, Matt has handled more than 20,000 residential and commercial loan closings, making him one of the most experienced closing attorneys in North Mississippi.

After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2006, Matt joined the law firm of Tannehill & Carmean, PLLC, where he practiced for 16 years in real estate and other related matters. In November of 2013, Matt was voted one of Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars of the Mid-South.

Matt is a member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association and the Mississippi Association for Justice. He has been recognized as Best of Oxford Lawyer for three consecutive years, and has also been named Best Oxford Closing Attorney and Best Law Firm multiple times throughout his career.

While in law school, Matt clerked for two years with Hughes & Hitt, P.A., assisting with real estate loan closings. Matt also clerked with The Scruggs Law Firm, assisting with case research and drafting memorandums for mass tort litigation. In his last year of law school, Matt clerked for Lafayette County Chancellor Edwin H. Roberts, Jr. Matt is a native of Florence, Alabama.

As the youngest of five children who all attended the University of Mississippi, Matt served as Sergeant-at-Arms of the Associated Student Body Senate and was voted a Class Favorite his senior year at Ole Miss. He also served as President of Phi Delta Theta and was honored with the Arthur R. Priest Award for being the top Phi Delta Theta member in the nation.

Matt has two daughters, Nora Gray and Murphey Deems, and one son, Chancellor Colle.

Winston Collier

With over a decade of experience in representing large multi-state healthcare organizations, multi-national energy companies, and multiple banking institutions, Winston B. Collier specializes in government relations, internal and external communications, and general litigation services.

Winston often speaks to business leaders and large medical groups, and has often been asked to facilitate high-level issue based meetings and conferences. He is frequently asked to assist his clients through speaking engagements that encourage and inspire teams to fulfill their potential. Winston is a frequent keynote speaker at large conferences and organizational summits. His presentations are known for inspiring teams and driving organizational impact.

He serves on the board of directors for an Arkansas based bank. He has run multiple political and judicial campaigns and advised corporations in developing effective government relations strategies. He was elected to and served as a member of the House of Delegates of the Arkansas Bar Association and has been recognized by local and state publications for his accomplishments as an attorney and community leader.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi where he was inducted into the University of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 2003. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas and completed the International Law Program at Downing College, Cambridge University in 2005. Mr. Collier is licensed to practice law in Washington, DC, Arkansas, and Mississippi. He has litigated many cases before judges and juries in both state and federal courts across the United States.

Winston and his wife, Gentry, live in Oxford, MS and have five children: Vivi, Corinne, Win, Mary Motley and Raines.
